I got a culture shock in Tokyo. Do you know the difference?
Long time ago, I watched the TV program about "Tokyo VS Osaka". It was very interesting.
Osaka | Tokyo |
---|---|
They start crossing a crosswalk before the signal turn green | They start crossing a crosswalk after the signal turn green. |
When a shopper is going to take out a bill from a wallet, the person of a register will prepare change at once. | After a shopper pay money, the person of a register will prepare change. |
They cannot wait for more than 10 minutes after the order in a restaurant. | They can wait forever after the order in a restaurant. |
Osaka people are "Sekkachi" (impatient, hasty). yeah... I am, too:)

I am going to Tokyo soon by myself for my job. Actually, I have to leave home in an hour.
I don't have the feel of the place in Tokyo. where is east, where is west...?
When I was a kid, I visited there. According to my dad, I went to the Tokyo Tower and Asakusa and the Imperial Palace, but I don't remember.
Even though I have been to Canada three times by myself, but why I have never been to Tokyo by myself at all? It is funny, isn't it? Visiting to Tokyo, I don't have a passport, I can use Japanese yen, I don't have to speak English:)
Tomorrow, I am going to visit my younger sister's house. She lives nearby Tokyo with two cute kids and the husband. She will take me to Tokyo for sightseeing.
I am so busy for taking care of my Japanese web site as usual....
